I'm on a two-week trip around the Kansai region and visited this place on a night I was staying in Kyoto. The girl assigned to me found out I was from the US and tried her best to communicate in broken English. I was really touched by her hospitality. It was a fantastic night where I experienced Japanese culture deeply (?)—just as much as visiting temples and shrines during the day!
